In the exhibition of D9 technology conference in Palos Verdes, California, and the Computex in Taipei, Taiwan, this largest software companies in the world is launching a new platform for the tablet with the name of Windows 8.
On occasion, Microsoft tried several tablets that run Windows 8 operating systems. At first glance, there's nothing special with the performance of these platforms, but Microsoft made the interface look completely different than any other tablet OS.
The presence of Windows 8 is welcome by various computer vendors. Director of engineering for the Sony VAIO, Adrian Crisan said that in one or two years, brand or name of iPad is not too important.
"In the future, consumers no longer see the OS and what tablets brand they would buy," he said. "Customers will buy because they like it."
Although Microsoft has showcased the performance of Windows 8, the head of the unit of Microsoft Windows, Steven Sinofsky still not comment about the details of the features that available on that platform. He said that Windows 8 will be very open for developers who want to create applications.
Regarding the official launch of Windows 8, Sinofsky said Microsoft plans to release the platform at the end of this year or early 2012.
