Bing Replaced Yahoo From Runner-Up Position - The data that is collected by comScore for December showed that Bing acquisition was recorded at 15.1 percent, while Yahoo for 14.5 percent. In November, Yahoo is still superior with 15.1 percent and Bing acquisition by 15 percent.
Google still holds a large acquisition percentage of 65.9 percent, up from 65.4 percent in November. Google's acquisition is the highest among the five leading search engines including Ask and AOL.
Microsoft first launched Bing in May 2009. In early 2010, Microsoft signed a deal with Yahoo where Yahoo's search result will be generated by Bing, both companies will then share the revenue generated from the advertising sector.
According to the Associated Press, Microsoft's main reason for signing the agreement is not because of the extra income they will get, but more because of the additional access to search data is so large in improving the ability of Bing logarithms through analysis on billions of searches that are made by users of Yahoo.
When the collaboration began Yahoo's market share remains at 19 percent and 9 percent for Bing. Percentage of Bing continues to increase, but Yahoo acquisition continues to decline. If this trend continues, then this will obviously benefit for Bing, although both are still going to mess around with how to beat Google's advantage.
