Twitter will Sensor Tweet - Twitter adds new technology on its site, which allows the censor tweet in certain countries. Previously, if a government wants to block tweets related to a topic, then Twitter should block all tweets in the whole world.
"From now on, we have the ability to withhold content from and to the users in certain countries, but still does not ignore its availability to users in other countries," the announcement that is delivered by Twitter via their official blog.
In the censored tweet, Twitter will show the word 'Tweet Withheld’: This tweet from @ username has been withheld in: Country'. As shown in the screenshot below.
For now, Twitter has not used its new abilities. This sensor will be done when they were asked to withhold a tweet in certain countries.
"We will try to let users know - tweet that is censored. And we'll mark clearly if there is content that is on hold," said Twitter.
After it was announced, many people who worried about the this new Twitter ability. A number of analysts, Twitter's commitment to freedom of speech and expression can be weakened if the sensor is applied.
