Do you still remember with "I Like It" on Facebook (Read: "I Like It" on Facebook and Breast Cancer Awarness). Now, there is a new campaign like that but this time was made to raise awareness of violence against children.
This campaign is named as Cartoon Characters on Facebook. Same as Breast Cancer Awarness, in this campaign, each person will be ordered to send a message that contains
“In support of anti-child violence, change your Facebook profile picture to a cartoon from your childhood. Until Monday Dec. 6, there should be no human faces on Facebook, but an invasion of memories. Join the fight against CHILD ABUSE. Invite your friends to do the same.”
As contained in the message, your Facebook profile was suggested to be replaced with a cartoon character. There are some people who follow this campaign, some are not.
People who do not follow such campaign consider that it’s only a joke and nothing to do with the purpose of campaign itself. In fact, they regard it as a hoax.
Later if the campaign of Facebook Cartoon Profile Pic comes from a pedophiles group. This info comes from a counter-movement afoot attempting to stop the cartoon characters in their animated tracks.
They give a message like this
“ATTENTION! Just reported that the group that started the post about changing your profile picture to a cartoon character is actually a pedophiles group that is doing this because its easier to get accepted friend requests! Please re-post.”
Do not know which is true. It all depends on your assessment.
