Google Stop Gmail application on BlackBerry - Internet giant behind the birth of Android, Google announced that they are no longer offering the Gmail application for BlackBerry devices. Yes, Gmail application for BlackBerry will no longer be available from 22 November.

But Google added that this application can still be used by users who already downloaded it. Announcement of termination of the Gmail application for Blackberry occurred one week after Google released a similar application for the iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch.


An analyst Roger Entner said that the steps that’re taken by Google certainly disappointed for the BlackBerry user who are already familiar with Gmail accounts. For RIM, this is a bad sign.

After the 22nd of November, Google will focus on accessing Gmail via a mobile browser. Google said that BlackBerry users can still access their Gmail account via a browser on their mobile or by synchronizing its Gmail account with BlackBerry service.
RIM itself was trying to stop the decline that happen in the smartphone market because many consumers are turning to Android or iPhone devices, shares of RIM in global smartphone market dropped 5 points in the third quarter from the same period last year.
