Xbox 8, Is This Microsoft’s New Console Generation? - Microsoft has just won the rights to the domain name of Xbox8.com. No doubt, the new domain that is bought from an owner of the web from China led to speculation about the identity of the next generation of Xbox console.
Besides Xbox8.com, other domains associated with Xbox Microsoft successfully acquired include XboxPhone.com, XboxTablet.com, XboxLiveTV.com, XboxCompanion.com, Xbox8.us and Xbox8.org.
The first four domains are compatible with Microsoft's goal which brings the functionality of the Xbox to mobile phones and tablet.
Another speculation mentioned, it’s strongly suspected that Microsoft will provide a name for its newest gaming device, Xbox 8. Is the number 8 on the back refers to the latest Microsoft software? Maybe. There are other rumors circulating, saying its name will become Infinity Xbox.
Previously, before the event of Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) 2012, Microsoft was also hunting domain that related with the word of 'Smart Glass', all domain names which contain the word.
At that time, Microsoft is predicted to release an application or a device called 'Smart Glass' for the Xbox 360. And when the E3 event was held, proved that the device is called Smart Glass appears.
