YouTube Buy Video Company License - YouTube has acquired RightsFlow, a company that manages the payment of royalties to songwriters and publishers.
"We are very pleased to announce that we have obtained RightsFlow, a company that helps songwriters, recording artists, record companies, distributors and online music service for managing music rights," YouTube Product Manager David King in the blog, as quoted by India Times.
Reportedly, RightsFlow which was established in 2007 to handle licensing rights for more than 300 million songs.
"By combining RightsFlow’s expertise and technology of YouTube platform, we look forward to faster and more efficiently on the licensing of music on YouTube. It means the more music you can enjoy, more money for talented people who produce music," explained King.
However, regarding the financial condition of the deal were not disclosed. The deal between YouTube and RightsFlow will help the video sharing service for more efficient about music licensing.
