Xbox SmartGlass Compete with Wii U? - Microsoft became one of concern at the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) 2012. In the world's biggest game event,, Microsoft launched a new technology to make the Xbox 360 into a home entertainment center.
Mentioned as the Xbox SmartGlass, the technology is designed so that users can "push" their content from the tablet or mobile phone to any Xbox 360 or vice versa. This means that users can watch content, like movies or TV shows on the big screen and also can enjoy it in tablet or smartphone.
This technology also allows additional devices as a remote control for Xbox 360.
Perhaps the technology that is offered by Microsoft sounds similar to what was expected Nintendo to Wii U. As with SmartGlass, Wii U is also designed with the idea that the content and the game can be played or displayed on the "controller" television monitor tablet.
The difference is SmartGlass was designed to work with Windows 8, and also phone and tablet that run Android and iOS. At least the technology can work on all devices that are commonly used.
