Android Will Keep Controlling Smartphone Platform until 2015 - Operating System (OS) by Google - Android become the largest platform in 2011 and continues to develop and master the smart phone market (smartphones) until 2015. Thus the results of marketing analysis conducted at International Data Corporation (IDC) that was launched in March.
Based on the analysis of the IDC report, operating system of Android managed to master the 39.4 percent of smartphone market in 2011 and Android will control 45.4 percent of the smartphone market in 2015.
For Windows Phone7 OS (WP7) is predicted will be second place as ruler of platform based smartphone in 2015. Previously, this WP7 in 2010 only mastered 5.5 percent over the smartphone market but continued to increase up to 20.9 percent of smartphone market in 2015. Meanwhile, Apple's IOS operating system and RIM's Blackberry (Research In Motion) in 2015 will be down but not too significant.
From the results of IDC's analysis, only Nokia's operating system, Symbian that is predicted will fail to maintain the smartphone market in 2015 that figure fell to just 0.2 per cent only, whereas in 2011, this Symbian OS is successfully controlled 20.9 percent of the smartphone market.
IDC analysis is in line with the growing of smartphone market that is predicted will continue to grow until it reaches 49.2 percent in 2011 as a result of the many consumers who replace their old phones with smartphone. The high use of smartphone today also in line with the number of consumers who download mobile browser applications. From earlier in 2010 that was only about 10.9 billion consumers will continue to increase to 76.9 billion consumers in 2015.
However, this prediction was not merely a reflection that will occur within the next four years. There are many factors that will influence it such as new products and technologies, cooperation among providers, additional features, and many other factors that influence the smartphone market.
