Toyota Recall Affects More 500 Thousand Vehicles Worldwide - The world's automotive giants from Japan, Toyota Motor, will pull back (recall) thousands of their car for security purposes.
Toyota said it would affects 550,000 cars globally, including Lexus models, because of crankshaft pulley shaft damage that can cause noise and make steering more difficult to control. Toyota spokesman said the company has recorded 79 complaints about car defects, but the company did not receive reports of accidents or injuries related to these errors.
"The recall includes 447,000 cars in North America and 38,000 cars in Japan," said Toyota spokesman. Toyota said that the recall is done because the outer ring of the crankshaft pulley may not align with the reducer resulting noise or damage to the electrical system of warning lamp lighting. According to Toyota, if the condition is not fixed, power steering pump belt can be detached from the pulley and the driver can see a sudden increase in its steering wheel control.
Mentioned, the car models that are damaged, they are Corolla, Avalon, Camry, Highlander, and Sienna, then Lexus ES300, ES330, RX300, RX330, and RX400h.

But Toyota caught in a crisis when they recalled nearly 9 million vehicles in late 2009 and February 2010 because of brake and accelerator damage.
